Cedar Knolls, NJ – To further expand their capabilities to design, sell, implement and support integrated communication solutions within the government space, Strategic Products and Services (SPS), is proud to announce the addition of John Ellis. Ellis joins as SPS Government Solutions vice president and will be based out of Fort Meade, Maryland.
SPS, a national leader in providing full-service integrated telecommunications solutions announced their new division, SPS Government Solutions, in December of last year. The division provides dedicated coverage and solutions to federal government.

Before joining SPS, Ellis served as director of small to medium business (SMB) development at Avaya, Inc. In this role, Ellis was responsible for the growth and success of Avaya's federal SMB practice, leading and achieving sales success in the North American Channel Organization. Previously, Ellis served as federal sales director at Expanets, responsible for achieving growth and leading its team to become the top producing Federal Channel Partner.
Ellis has led a number of teams in his career, including district manager of Octel Messaging Division at Lucent Technologies, Call center practice leader at AT&T, and as sales director - new business development for AT&T's Large Business Systems Division. Ellis has also held advisory roles in the development of many industry solutions, most recently the Avaya Accessibility Solution for IP Office which is used by government and commercial clients to help and serve people with disabilities.
