Ed Nalbandian /

Chief Executive Officer

Ed Nalbandian serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) for SPS. To ensure the company remains at the forefront of its industry, Ed plays an active role in directing strategic vision and growth initiatives. He works closely with the executive and leadership teams to address operational challenges and ensure SPS has the proper plan and organizational structure in place to grow in its role as a multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Ed joined SPS with his company, Enabling Managed Services (EMS), a managed services consulting firm. Prior to running EMS, Ed spent six years as vice president of managed services for Avaya, where he grew the managed services business with an innovative private cloud outsourcing model. Ed also led the managed network solutions business at AT&T and worked in the information network division of IBM’s managed services business. From 1999 to 2006, he was CEO of AimNet Solutions, an independent managed services company, which he developed into an industry-leading remote managed services provider and sold to Cognizant. Ed is the author of “The Managed Services Playbook: A Guide to Running Successful Managed Services and Cloud Businesses" and a founding member of the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) Managed Services Advisory Board. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Mike Lucciola /

President

In his role as president, Mike Lucciola focuses on accelerating company initiatives and operational improvements by working day-to-day with the executive and leadership teams to execute upon plans and solve operational issues. With Mike's assistance, SPS is moving to a more efficient operating model and organizational structure. By driving business transformation, Mike supports the company’s growth and ability to deliver the greatest value in the industry to clients.

For the past fifteen years, Mike has served as the CEO of the Firefly Group, a private investment and advisory firm that assists growth-stage businesses in the technology and professional services sectors. He has also served on the boards for Seton Hall University, Chalkup, Garden Academy and the American Pet Insurance Corporation. Prior to his role at the Firefly Group, Mike was the president of eB Networks, an IT services company he helped to successfully restructure. Mike also founded and served as CEO of Integrated Computer Management (ICM), an award-winning systems integration company. He earned an M.B.A. from Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business and a B.S. in political science from Seton Hall University.

With his extensive experience in strategy development and performance improvements, Mike helps SPS evolve in its role as a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Biff Jennings /

Chief Financial Officer

Biff Jennings leads the accounting, finance, planning, control and purchasing functions within SPS. He reports progress on operational, strategic and growth objectives, allowing SPS to develop into a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Biff possesses a proven ability to develop and implement strategy, raise capital, build infrastructure and improve scalability at rapidly growing organizations. As the principal and owner of LJB Financial Services, Biff successfully handled strategic planning, financial modeling and financial reporting process improvement review for a diverse set of clients, including private equity and venture investors. Prior to joining SPS, Biff also served as the chief financial officer (CFO) of several companies across multiple industries, including rePlanet Holdings, Winters Brothers Waste Systems, Hudson Baylor Corporation and INTTRA. He began his career with Arthur Andersen, a public accounting firm, and was licensed as a CPA after earning an M.S. in accountancy from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Biff earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University.

With his significant experience in finance and business development, Biff is essential to SPS’s continued growth.

Vel Johnson /

Executive VP of Sales, Presales and Marketing

Vel Johnson leads the SPS Sales Operations and Marketing organizations. In this role, his priority is providing consistency and accountability throughout the entire selling process to ensure SPS delivers advanced solutions that delight clients.

Vel's team works in lock-step to ensure people, processes and systems align to support client needs. Vel has been instrumental in developing strategic support offerings and the TotalCare services portfolio, which encompasses managed services, hosted and cloud offers. Vel's knowledge of business processes and industry trends provides value to clients looking to leverage technology in their environments and streamline their communications infrastructures.

Vel brings nearly 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining the SPS team in 2007, Vel held sales and executive leadership positions within AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Avaya, Expanets.

With his expertise in selling, delivery and managed services, Vel ensures the highest quality solutions and services are available to SPS clients.

Amit Basu /

Chief Information Officer

Amit Basu directs IT strategy and large-scale transformational technology initiatives within SPS to improve performance and enterprise value. He partners with the sales, operations, finance and accounting teams as part of internal technology strategy. Amit is able to bridge the gap between the business and technology subsets of the organization to foster improved trust and alignment of goals. By helping SPS innovate its processes and systems, Amit ensures that the company achieves its priorities of increased agility, productivity and efficiency.

Amit has held senior leadership roles in various technology and professional services organizations for the last 20 years. He possesses a successful record of building technology platforms and business processes for startups and growing organizations. Most recently, Amit founded cognativ, a provider of consulting services and thought leadership in the areas of technology and business strategy. He previously served as the executive vice president of technology and professional services for Scivantage, where he reorganized technology teams to break up silos and improved the communication and interaction model with offshore resources. Amit also served as the chief information officer for an Accenture business unit and chief information officer and executive vice president for InvestorForce. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from University College London.

​With his experience in managing large implementation and integration projects, as well as organization-wide process re-engineering, Amit helps SPS grow into its role as a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Sonia Spicehandler /

Vice President of Human Resources

Sonia Spicehandler develops the human resources (HR) strategy for SPS. By investing in talent management, she attracts, develops and retains exceptional and diverse employees. Sonia also oversees the HR department, which includes talent management, rewards and recognition and payroll. She ensures business objectives are met by improving the company’s HR infrastructure, diversity and talent.

Sonia possesses a great depth of experience in managing HR transformation and developing an efficient solution and productive partnership between HR and the business. She has helped businesses achieve successful growth by maintaining a focus on employee engagement, change management and acquisition integration. This experience makes her vital to SPS as it continues to evolve into its role a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Prior to joining SPS, Sonia served various roles for Reed Elsevier over the course of 20 years. In her most recent position as the vice president of human resources, she supported the IT Infrastructure Shared Service Center. In her prior role, she drove a major global transformation effort, taking the sales organization from print to digital and developing the talent management strategy to support the business. As a member of the Reed Elsevier Diversity and Inclusion Committee, she cultivated a program to improve the company’s diversity. Sonia earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Sonia's wealth of experience in aligning HR strategies with business objectives allows her to develop the company’s talent while ensuring the delivery of optimal business results.

Rui Goncalves /

General Counsel

Rui Goncalves leads the legal, contract management, risk management and global real estate functions within SPS. He works closely with each of the corporate officers and directors to identify, advise and manage legal/business issues and risks to the company and its respective groups. Rui is responsible for developing and implementing the corporate legal and real estate strategy at SPS and assisting in the development and implementation of the corporate policies and the corporate compliance program.

As an attorney with over a decade of both legal and business leadership experience at global technology organizations and as a successful entrepreneur in the aviation industry, Rui brings a diverse set of skills and experience to SPS to successfully lead the legal team and serve as a trusted advisor to the company, its officers and directors.

Prior to joining SPS, Rui served as corporate counsel for Konica Minolta’s multi-billion dollar operations in North and South America in cooperation with its various affiliates in Europe and Asia. Rui has also served on the board for the Colorful Tomorrow Foundation, a national charity organization assisting children in disadvantaged communities across the U.S. Also, prior to joining SPS, Rui co-founded a startup private aviation company out of Teterboro, N.J., and in his eight years as principal shareholder, led its successful growth and operations into three continents. Prior to that, Rui litigated for a private legal services organization in New York.

Rui earned a B.S. from Seton Hall’s School of Diplomacy and International Relations, an M.B.A. from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and a Juris Doctorate from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro Law.

Theresa Goodreau /

Vice President of Marketing

Theresa Goodreau leads the marketing team for SPS, defining and managing national strategies to support existing clients and penetrate new market segments. Theresa ensures that corporate messaging, branding and value proposition are clearly defined and communicated, while identifying cross-functional and interdepartmental goals to guarantee that business and marketing objectives are synchronized to best support clients.

Within a channel-centric model, Theresa directs the company’s co-marketing relationships with more than 15 key manufacturing partners, developing campaigns, messaging and events to support the company’s go-to-market model as a multivendor communication and networking managed service provider. Through national learning events, speaking engagements, content development, proactive outreach and tradeshow participation, her team supports the voice of the customer and provides value-added information for clients at every phase of their communication lifecycle.

Prior to joining SPS through its acquisition of GEE! Communications in 2005, Theresa served in national sales roles with Lucent Technologies and OmniLink Communications Corporation (now TNS), a provider of remote access transaction processing solutions. Following her graduation from Michigan State University, Theresa served as contractor to Grumman Data Systems on the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC) Mainframe Modernization Project.

Theresa's commitment to and experience with corporate messaging and branding strategies ensures fulfillment of the company’s client-driven mission.

Theresa leads the marketing team, defining and managing national strategies to support existing clients and penetrate new market segments.

Simon Kruger /

Vice President of Solutions

Simon Kruger serves as the vice president of solutions for SPS. He is responsible for defining the architectural solution strategy and offer realization process within each solution area, identifying emerging segments, building a catalog of SPS offerings that uses a common pricing tool between solution areas and aligning the solution portfolios to SPS’s managed services offerings. By helping to grow SPS’s offerings, Simon enables the company evolve into a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Simon has extensive experience building technology practices, with a specialization in unified communications and emerging technologies. Prior to joining SPS in 2016, Simon served as the director of advanced solutions for Dimension Data, where he improved delivery methodology, built an extensive project backlog and maintained client relationship and satisfaction during and after installation of all projects. He also served as a solutions manager at Dimension Data. Prior to his tenure with Dimension Data, Simon served as a systems integration specialist for Spicer-Customer Relationship Strategies and a cell center systems manager for ATIO Corporation. He received his BSc (Honors) degree in information technology from Teesside University and his BTEC degree in electrical electronic engineering from Cleveland Technical College.

With his skills and wide-spanning knowledge of systems, Simon provides the level of expertise needed to help SPS deliver an exceptional client experience that promotes long-term client relationships.

Simon defines the architectural solution strategy and offer realization process within each solution area and identifies emerging segments.

Mark McGregor /

Vice President of Engineering

Mark McGregor leads the engineering function within SPS. In his role, Mark collaborates with solution area leaders to execute SPS’s go-to-market strategy within each region. He is responsible for building a common presales process to ensure a seamless client experience, supporting the SPS selling methodology by leveraging standardized quoting tools and processes for consistency across the company’s solution areas and partnering with professional services operational leaders to ensure successful and profitable project delivery. By maintaining SPS’s focus on delivering an exceptional client experience that begins with the presales process, Mark helps SPS sustain long-term relationships with its clients.

Mark previously served as the chief operating officer for ExtraTeam, which was acquired by SPS in 2015. He worked at ExtraTeam for more than 10 years as an engineering architect, director and senior executive. Prior to joining ExtraTeam, Mark worked for Cisco, where he was instrumental in the growth of the Cisco Networking Academy program and was in charge of one of the first Regional Academies in the U.S. McGregor holds a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) #11398 in both Routing & Switching and Voice, and he has authored four networking books published by Cisco Press.

As a proven and respected leader in the communications and collaboration industry with considerable experience in business process engineering, Mark plays a key role in elevating SPS to the position of leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

John Franconere /

Vice President of Managed Services Sales Support

John Franconere serves as vice president of managed services sales support for SPS. He aids in the development of the go-to-market strategy through a sales and support ecosystem built to drive best-in-class renewal rates and promotion of managed services. By focusing on managed services strategy and execution as part of his key role within the executive operating committee, John helps to elevate the organization from a reactive services provider to a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

John has years of experience as a business leader within ever-changing technology environments. Within SPS, John previously held the positions of director of sales and managed services operations and manager of sales support and marketing. Prior to joining SPS, John served as an account executive for SRI/Lucent Technologies, where he managed sales territory and new business development. John earned his B.A. at the State University of New York, Albany, and he is Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 certified.

With his expertise in managed services, IT outsourcing, XaaS and cloud, John helps the company provide comprehensive SPS-branded offerings that foster long-term client relationships.

Glenn Jenkins /

Glenn Jenkins leads the SPS global delivery capabilities, including managed and cloud services. He is dedicated to customer needs and creates best-in-class client experiences. Glenn improves operational and financial results by executing changes to the organization that substantially improve the performance of SPS’s processes, people and systems.

Glenn has more than 20 years of experience leading services practices and support organizations for global customers in telecommunications, software, cloud and IT industries. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Dallas and his B.S. in computer science from Mississippi State University.

With his successful track record of defining and driving business strategies and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, Glenn helps SPS grow into its role as a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Ryan Humble /

Vice President of Professional Services

Ryan Humble leads the planning and delivery of revenue-generating services for SPS clients. In his role, his priority is to ensure the achievement of high client satisfaction across all implementations and engagements. His focus on the client allows SPS to successfully grow into its role as a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.

Ryan continually identifies and drives new revenue and profit growth through strategic initiatives and innovative new service offerings. He is responsible for hiring, motivating and retaining exceptional client-facing employees and developing a culture that promotes client success. Prior to his current role, Ryan served as the director of implementation services for SPS, holding responsibility for managing and developing the company’s delivery services to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.

Prior to joining SPS through its acquisition of GEE! Communications in 2005, Ryan served as the managing director of sales and operations for Metroline Inc., where he was responsible for building and growing the Lucent Technologies Master Dealer program. He also served with MCS Associates, where he was responsible for overseeing the consulting and design of residential and commercial engineering projects. Ryan graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

With his focus on the needs of the client and dedication to achieving client satisfaction, Ryan has fostered client-centric values and a service culture that help SPS maintain long term client relationships.

Bob Neydon /

Vice President of Sales, Eastern Region

Bob Neydon leads the sales directors in the East and plays an instrumental role in defining the SPS sales strategy. He is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and helping SPS achieve its sales goals and objectives. By building SPS’s sales organization into a cohesive and strategically driven unit, Bob helps the company improve its performance in service to its clients.

Within SPS, Bob previously held the positions of regional sales director, vice president of operations and director of global sales. Prior to joining SPS in 2009, Bob served as the applications sales manager, cloud CRM, for Oracle. He also served as the regional manager of cloud service for Salesforce.com and as a sales director for Avaya. He earned an M.B.A. from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and an A.B. in political science from Wabash College.

By combining his strategic leadership and knowledge of innovative technologies and managed services, Bob helps SPS expand its presence and emerge as a leading multivendor communication and networking managed service provider.
