Sonia Spicehandler develops the human resources (HR) strategy for SPS. By investing in talent management, she attracts, develops and retains exceptional and diverse employees. Sonia also oversees the HR department, which includes talent management, rewards and recognition and payroll. She ensures business objectives are met by improving the company’s HR infrastructure, diversity and talent.
Sonia possesses a great depth of experience in managing HR transformation and developing an efficient solution and productive partnership between HR and the business. She has helped businesses achieve successful growth by maintaining a focus on employee engagement, change management and acquisition integration. This experience makes her vital to SPS as it continues to evolve into its role as the leading systems integrator and managed services provider through organic growth and acquisitions.
Prior to joining SPS, Sonia served various roles for Reed Elsevier over the course of 20 years. In her most recent position as the vice president of human resources, she supported the IT Infrastructure Shared Service Center. In her prior role, she drove a major global transformation, taking the sales organization from print to digital and developing the talent management strategy to support the business. As a member of the Reed Elsevier Diversity and Inclusion Committee, she cultivated a program to improve the company’s diversity. Sonia earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
