Tom Duffy is the vice president of information technology at SPS. He is responsible for IT strategy, applications, infrastructure, operations and PMO. Working closely with SPS business leaders, Tom has implemented an enterprise business architecture through deployment of core CRM, ITSM and ERP applications, to effectively integrate SPS acquisitions and enable the SPS strategy of becoming a leading systems integrator and managed service provider. He is building a strong IT leadership team and implementing the personnel, processes and technology to establish a client focused, service-oriented, cost-efficient IT operating model based on industry standard IT Service Management and ITIL methodologies.
Prior to joining SPS in 2010, Tom served as director of IT infrastructure for Avaya, where he led the global deployment of enterprise infrastructure and Unified Communications applications. A former vice president at Lucent Technologies, Tom has held a broad range of other business and technical leadership positions in IT operations and governance, professional services, product management and new product development with Avaya, Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Tom has earned an M.B.A. from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts and master’s certification in project management from American University.
