IP Office Basic Administration

This course is offered for active SPS clients and is designed to provide Basic System Administration training on the Avaya IP Office telephone system and voicemail platform. The course includes the use of Manager Application Software for the direct management of the IP Office core system and Embedded Voicemail and/or Voicemail Pro Client software for the Voicemail Pro application. This training will assist in providing the local system administrator with the necessary knowledge for day-to-day activities managing the Avaya IP Office telephone system.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand how to access the Manager application software for system changes create or modify users within Manager and move extensions from one station port to another
  • Understand Hunt Groups and how they can be used in the system
  • Access and modify the Incoming Call Route table and entries
  • Modify and maintain an Automated Attendant within Embedded Voicemail or Voicemail Pro client software
  • Access the Recordings Menu or Entry Prompts tab to modify a call flow greeting
  • Locate and change user voicemail box passwords in Manager
  • Understand the basics of Time of Day and Holiday Conditions for use in Open, Closed and Holiday routing

Who should attend this class?

This class is intended for individuals who plan to manage their Avaya IP Office system and voicemail platform after the system is installed.  The class is available twice each month.
